I can't believe we only have 4 weeks of school left! Here is what is on the schedule for this week.
Writing: On Monday we observed how to make lemonade. And then of course we tasted it! Yum! The kids will be writing a procedural text on how to make lemonade this week. Next week they will get to choose what they write about. Here are two pictures after we made the lemonade. The second one shows putting the directions in order after we taste tested!
Math: It's all about representing numbers this week! Students need to be able to show numbers up to 1,000 using standard form, expanded form, word form, or drawing circles, sticks, and squares.
Reading: We are continuing on with non-fiction throughout May. Soon they will be identifying the main purpose of the text. Did the author write to explain, describe, or answer something? Let's find out!
