With Valentine's Day fresh in our minds, we are working on writing narratives about friendship. After brainstorming a list of ideas, students have started the writing process by filling out a graphic organizer and completing a first draft. Later this week we will explore the use of quotation marks in books and in our own writing. The book Something Beautiful is a wonderful book to introduce quotation marks.
